Ron Carlson once wrote of a scorpion his grandson brought to him which he had found near his home. Carlson began to research the subject of scorpions, and he found that one experimenter placed a hundred scorpions in a large glass container, and in just a few days only fourteen were left. The rest had been killed and eaten by the others.
This experimenter also put a pregnant female in a glass container and sat to watch what happened. He saw her devour her young as fast as they were born! One of her babies escaped, finding refuge on his mother’s back, and then took revenge by killing the mother scorpion!
Carlson commented, “I’m ashamed to say that I have known some scorpion Christians in my ministry. Galatians 5:15 speaks to them, “But if you bite and devour one another, take care lest you be consumed by one another.”
