Dinosaur Highway
A goober was taking the tour of a national park not long ago.
The ranger mentioned to the tour group that dinosaur fossils had been found in the area.
The goober exclaimed,
“Wow. I can’t believe the dinosaurs would come this close to the highway!”
Dad and Surgeon
This older man was on the operating table awaiting surgery and he insisted that his son, a renown surgeon, perform the operation.
As he was about to receive the anesthesia he asked to speak to his son.
“Yes Dad, what is it?”
“Don’t be nervous, do your best and just remember, if it doesn’t go well, if something happens to me . . .
your mother is going to come and live with you and your wife.”
Major League Snacks
I took my son to his first Major League baseball game when he was four.
The game was delayed, so we spent our time talking and eating everything the concession had to offer:
Hot dogs, pretzels, nachos, pizza, soda, peanuts, ice cream, and cotton candy.
About a year later, I asked my son if he’d like to go to another game.
He thought about it for a moment and then replied, “No, thanks, Dad. I’m really not that hungry.”
