A marriage counsellor was attempting to find out something about his patient’s attitude by asking her some questions.

“Did you wake up grumpy this morning?” he asked.

“No,” replied the woman, “I just let him sleep.”

Mummy Heart Failure

An archaeologist was digging in the Negev Desert in Israel and came upon a casket containing a mummy.  After examining it, he called the curator of a prestigious natural-history museum.

“I’ve just discovered a 3,000 year-old mummy of a man who died of heart failure!” the excited scientist exclaimed.

To which the curator replied, “Bring him in.  We’ll check it out.”

A week later, the amazed curator called the archaeologist.  “You were right about the mummy’s age and cause of death.  How in the world did you know?”

“Easy.  There was a piece of paper in his hand that said, ‘10,000 Shekels on Goliath’.

Good Guess

A fourth-grade teacher was giving her pupils a lesson in logic.

“Here is the situation,” she said.

“A man is standing up in a boat in the middle of a river, fishing.  He loses his balance, falls in, and begins splashing and yelling for help.

His wife hears the commotion, knows he can’t swim, and runs down to the bank.  Why do you think she ran to the bank?”

A little girl raised her hand and asked, “To draw out all his savings?”
