"Oil on Fish"
Students at school were asked to write about the harmful effects of oil on fish.
One 11-year old wrote, "When my mom opened a tin of sardines last night it was full of oil and all the sardines were dead."
When the mother returned from the grocery store, her small son pulled out the box of animal crackers he had begged for, then he spread the animal-shaped crackers all over the kitchen counter. "What are you doing?" his Mom asked. "The box says you can't eat them if the seal is broken," the boy explained. "I'm looking for the seal."
When she got flowers from her husband on Valentine's Day, my daughter's friend quickly opened the card. All it said was "No."
What did that mean?
She called her husband, who said, "I didn't attach any message. The florist asked if I had a message and I said, 'No.'"
